This four part beginning class is designed to introduce participants to the world of relief printmaking, an age-old technique that forms the foundation for many traditional forms of print art, from woodcuts to linocuts. Students will explore the creative process, learn fundamental techniques, and create their own original prints. Relief printing involves carving an image or design into a surface, inking it, and then transferring the image onto paper or fabric, producing rich, textured prints. This class will provide a hands-on approach to the art form, allowing students to gain practical skills while fostering their creative expression. This class is ideal for beginner and intermediate printmakers. All experience levels welcome! MATERIALS: Most of these materials are included in the Speedball Deluxe Block Printing Kit
