Description:
This workshop offers hands-on experience in traditional bookbinding materials and techniques, specifically focusing on the creation of a watercolor sketchbook or journal with the coptic stitch. Students will learn the basics of bookbinding while honing their skills in stitching, covering, and finishing, creating a beautiful, functional book to take home. This workshop is designed for all skill levels of participants interested in learning a creative, hands-on skill. Whether you're a book lover, writer, artist, or someone interested in learning a new craft, this workshop will provide a comprehensive foundation in bookbinding. Artist-Instructor: Katherine Burns

Required age: Over 16 years old on the day of the activity
Notes: Students will need to bring a 9x12 pad of 140 lb watercolor paper of their choosing. Canson XL Watercolor paper is a great option. All other materials including book board, decorative paper, book cloth and linen thread will be provided.
Prerequisites: All levels welcome! Minimum of 5 for workshop to run.
