CERAMICS STUDIO GUIDELINES

  • No studio use without reservation
  • No more than 10 people in the ceramics & glaze rooms at a time, unless in a formal class setting
  • You must check in at the front desk at the top of your reservation
  • Please take extra care to clean up after yourself.
  • Reservation slots are 1hrs each. There is no partial credit.
  • If you would like to extend your time, please check with the front desk. There are often slots open, so you can book more time.
  • Studio users Ages 11-15 may use open studio with the supervision and guidance of a guardian-contact our Studio Manager to discuss further
  • As usual, kiln firings, glazes, and all studio equipment are included in the session cost.
  • The Kiln firing schedule is roughly similar to pre-COVID (1-2x glaze, 1-2x bisque a week) but please give grace and patience to our Studio Manager, Pilar Swanson. 
  • Outside works can be brought in to be fired for $5/half kiln shelf, plus fees if your pieces damage our kiln or shelves. Please arrange directly with Pilar Swanson, Ceramics Studio Manager before bringing these works in. Once fired, you'll be contacted for payment.

RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations are processed by the Ceramcis Studio Manager & Education Manager - all cancellations need to be sent by email to ceramicstudioscheduling@chehalemculturalcenter.org

  • Up to 2hrs before reservation = full refund to original form of payment
  • Less than 2hrs before reservation = full credit towards future reservation
  • Once reservation time has started / no contact / no show = no refund or credit

2025 CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Withdrawal:
    • Up to 5 days before the start of class: 100% registration fee refunded
    • Between 5 days and 48 hours before the start of class: 50% of the fee is refunded and 50% is credited to your account
    • Less than 48 hours before the start of class: 50% is credited to your account, 50% is forfeited.
  • CCC will provide enhanced health screening methods for staff and students and will ask families to candidly report suspected COVID symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath), contact with infected individuals, etc. If a child exhibits symptoms, they will be asked to stay home. They should follow all OHA & CDC guidelines prior to returning to class.
  • Missed classes will not be refunded or credited, but efforts will be made to arrange makeup sessions or opportunities to work from home, on a case-by-case basis.
  • Once the class is in session, there are no refunds. Refunds are not given for no-shows or absences.
  • You will receive a full refund if the Chehalem Cultural Center must cancel a class prior to its start
  • For some classes, workshops, and camps a minimum number of enrollments is required for the class to proceed. If the class does not meet the minimum within 48hrs of the first class, you will be notified and will receive a full refund.
