Wire Tree of Life: Oak

Create your own unique piece of art by crafting a Wire Tree of Life with oak-inspired details. In this hands-on course, participants will learn how to shape and twist copper wire into an intricate tree adorned with colorful beads to represent leaves. Guided by instructor Marilyn Lyons, you will explore techniques to form branches, secure beads, and attach your tree to a sturdy stone base for display. By the end of the session, you'll have a beautiful, hand-crafted tree sculpture to take home and showcase.

All supplies needed for the project, including wire and beads, will be provided, and tools will be available for use during class. Participants are asked to bring a 3-inch flat stone to use as the base for their wire tree.

Masks are not mandatory, distancing is recommended. Should any participant wish to wear a mask they are welcome to do so. Chilliwack ElderCollege and community partners will continue to follow all health protocols.
