Description:

Systems Thinking for Life

In this interactive and practical course, Barry will facilitate a series of dialogues to help you discover and share perceptions of how people currently think and make decisions and how they can learn to see our complex world using systems thinking as a foundation. Doing so will help you better understand yourself and others by exploring the concept of a system, why we need to think systemically, and how to work with human and social systems in a more discerning and functional manner. Through small group exercises and larger group dialogue you will learn how to see the whole picture, not just the parts, look for cause and effect relationships, focus on underlying structures that drives behaviour and discover areas of leverage in viewing complex human and social situations with the goal of achieving more effective outcomes.  ‘Systems Thinking for Life’ will introduce the basic skills required for both living in and seeing our complex world as it is.
