Description:

Vessel makers with prior experience will explore a variety of throwing and handbuilding techniques as well as a range of surface treatments to create lively layered surfaces.  Students, no matter their skill level, will continue to refine their technical skills while exploring personal ideas, thinking innovatively, and receiving helpful advice and constructive criticism.

Notes: If you are in a wheel class for the first time, please stop by Blick, Davens or online to pick up a "pottery tool kit" (similar to Kemper PTK) before your class, or as we get started. There are an infinite number of tools and upgrades, but the set will do to start. You may also want to bring an old towel to put of your lap to keep yourself clean while working – your car will thank you! All work to be fired must be made at Art Center West. All clay must be purchased from the art center.
