Description:

Earn the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification upon completion of this blended class offering both online and with instructor-led skill sessions. 

 

Prerequisites: Candidates MUST be able to swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl and breaststroke. Candidates MUST be able to swim 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10 pound brick from the bottom of the pool, and then swim 20 yards carrying the brick. All candidates are required to complete 7 hours of online video training prior to the start of class. Candidates will be tested on online training the first day of class. Must be 15 years of age or older on the first day of class. 

 

Certification Requirements: Attend all class sessions, successfully perform all required skills, successfully complete three final skill scenarios, pass the written exam with a grade of 80% or better on each section. Lifeguard Training/First Aid/CPR/AED is valid for two years.
