CAT CARD LEVEL 1  
Learn to Sail – Earn Your Cat Card!  

Perfect for beginners, Cat Card Level 1 introduces new sailors to the fundamentals of sailing in an engaging and supportive environment. Participants will develop essential skills such as water and sailing safety, boat parts, rigging, steering, wind awareness, and basic maneuvers.  

Sailors will gain hands-on experience, learning through participation and practice. This level focuses on building confidence on the water, ensuring every sailor gets time at the helm. Led by experienced instructors, this course provides a structured and fun-filled introduction to sailing, setting the foundation for future progression in the Cat Card system.  

Program Options: 

Weeklong Camp: Full-day program (8:30am-3:00pm) designed for immersive learning in a fun camp style.  
Spring After-school Program: Runs in the afternoons, (3:30pm-6:00pm) providing structured learning throughout the season.  

Age: 8 - 16 years (as of the day of activity)  
Repeatable Level: Sailors may retake this program to continue refining their skills.
