Family membership

Sailing Access Membership Program

Eligibility:
Available to sailors who have completed:

  • Youth (ages 10+): Cat Card Level 3C

  • Adults: Beginner Learn to Sail series

Youth-Specific Requirements:

  • All youth must meet the relevant Compass Academy age requirements

  • Youth must be accompanied by an adult during all open sailing times

Membership Benefits:

  • Sailboat Access:

    • Use of Compass Adventure’s Wave / Getaway Catamaran fleet during designated Open Sailing days and times

  • Program Discount:

    • 10% off all Compass Adventure sailing programs within the active membership period

Membership Term:

  • Valid for 1 year from the date of purchase

  • Includes a 3-month renewal grace period—allows returning members to renew and retain program discount eligibility

Open Sailing Rules & Expectations

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all sailors, the following rules apply during Open Sailing sessions:

  • Pre-Approved Access Only:
    All participants must be pre-approved and signed off through Cat Card Level 3C or Adult Learn to Sail

  • Adult Supervision:
    Youth must have an adult present on-site throughout the sailing session

  • Sign-In Required:
    All sailors must check in with Compass Adventure staff prior to accessing boats

  • Boat Safety:
    PFDs  must be worn at all times while on the dock or on the water

  • Respect the Conditions:
    Sailing may be suspended or canceled due to weather, wind, or staff discretion

  • Follow Instructions:
    All sailors must follow the direction of Compass Adventure coaches/staff

  • No Coaching Provided:
    Open Sailing is unsupervised practice time—no instruction or coaching is provided

  • Sail Within Limits:
    Sail only within designated boundaries and time slots assigned for Open Sailing

  • Respect Equipment:
    Return boats in the condition they were provided; report any issues immediately

  • Membership Card/Proof: Membership must be presented at sign-in for each sailing session

  • Substance-Free Expectation: Use of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances is strictly prohibited before or during sailing activities
