Below are Terms and Conditions:

PAYMENTS

Class fees, based on a school year, may be paid in full for the year or set up as installments for ease of payment. If you choose installments we require your first month's payment, as well as a once per school year/ per child registration fee, upon registration. Each subsequent payment will be due on the 25th of each month until May 25th. Our registration fee and your first month's tuition payment as well as any applicable drama performance fees, mainstage fees or choreography fees are not eligible for credit or refund.

For classes with costume fees, the first payment will be withdrawn from your monthly payment method on Sept 1st and the second half of costume fees comes out October 15th for competitive groups and February 15th for recreational groups. These payments are non-refundable however, in cases where costumes have not yet been ordered when you cancel your registration, we are able to leave the amount paid as a credit on your account with us.

CANCELLATION OF CLASSES
The following payments are not eligible for refunds or credits under any circumstances: Your first month’s tuition, Registration Fee, Drama Performance Fee, Mainstage Fee & Competitive Dance Choreography Fees. After September, class cancellations require notice by the 15th of the current month to cancel the upcoming month. Cancellations received after the 15th will apply to the following month. (eg. If you wish to cancel Jan-June, notice must be given by Dec 15th. If you give notice after the 15th, then your cancellation will be effective for Feb - June and Jan tuition will still be owed. If upon registration you select to pay the year in advance the same cancellation policies apply to refunds for pre-paid classes. All refunds processed are subject to a 4% fee. Clients who opt to instead save a credit on their account with us for later use are exempt from this refund fee.

Competition Fees eligible for full credit (not refund) if cancelled prior to event registration, if cancelled after event registration a partial credit may be available provided the event issues one to us.

NOTICES & REMINDERS

Newsletters and notices with important information and special events will be emailed from time to time. For this reason, it is important you keep your email information current with us. Please make sure you take time to carefully read and understand the content of these notices so as not to miss out on anything! (i.e., recital information, photo day schedules, etc.)

Please also ensure that the cell phone field in your account is correct as emergency texts will be sent out for urgent, time sensitive matters or extremely important matters.

PICK-UP / DROP-OFF

Classes run on a tight schedule; it is not possible for children to enter their classroom before the scheduled start time. If you are dropping off a child aged 5 and under, please be sure the instructor is in the room and see's your child enter prior to your leaving them.

Children under age 10 should be picked up by their parent promptly after class. We do not allow young children out of the school without at least making eye contact with a parent.

ATTENDANCE

Normal policy: To get the most value for your class fees, make sure you attend all classes as we cannot make-up the classes you miss! Attendance is also very important for dance & drama classes where students rely on each other for positioning & script work. If you are in dance or drama, we appreciate your making every effort to attend all classes. Competitive Dance programs have a strict attendance policy whereby missing 3 or more classes may result in the need to be removed from part of your choreography, the need to schedule a private make-up lesson or being asked to leave the group. Competition students and Before & After Care students MUST communicate with the front desk, Facebook group or teacher about absence.

TEACHER ILLNESS

We will do everything possible to make sure that all scheduled classes take place. However, if a teacher calls in sick and we can't find a substitute in time, we may either issue a credit, or (rarely) set a day and time for the class to be made up.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Creative Edge School of Arts reserves the right to cancel classes if the roads are unsafe and/or if the schoolboard cancels school operations in this district. On inclement weather days you can phone us, 1 hour before class time, for a recording as to whether or not we will be open. Classes which need to be cancelled due to weather conditions cannot be made up.

Refused payments/Outstanding Fees
Refused e-checks will incur an NSF fee of $10. Outstanding fees will incur late payment fees of 5% per week. Outstanding fees more than 1 week late may result inn suspension of your classes. Unpaid outstanding fees unpaid for 1 month or more will result in the cancellation of your registration and the space in the class being given away. Accounts with outstanding fees may also be refused participation in performances or special events.

CLASSES WITH INSUFFICIENT ENROLMENT

Classes with insufficient enrollment may be rescheduled or cancelled. If another suitable class cannot be found, the class fees for the remainder of the year will be refunded in full.

LOST AND FOUND

Our lost and found is located in the bench in the washroom waiting area and will be donated in December and June following warnings via our Newsletters, so please check it carefully for missing items at least twice/year.

ATTENTION PRESCHOOL PARENTS

In order to participate in our preschool program, children should be up to date on all immunizations. Documentation is required before attending the first class. All children must be able to use the washroom unassisted. This means all children must be toilet trained. Pull-ups and diapers are not permitted. A health form must be completed in-full at your first class which includes a recent photo of your child. A valid email address is needed for additional communication purposes.

NOTICE OF WAIVER

Liability Waiver and Acknowledgment of Risk

I acknowledge that I understand the nature of the activities my child will be participating in, and the possibility that despite precautions, accidents and/or physical injury may occur.

I understand that despite all possible precautions to keep students within the Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd. premises for the full duration of a registered activity there is the possibility that my child could choose to leave the building.

I agree to release and hold harmless Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd. (including its teachers, staff members and volunteers) from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and in the future.

I will not hold Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd. (including its teachers, staff members and volunteers) liable for any personal injury or any personal property damage or loss, which may occur on the premises before, during or after classes or which may occur at any Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd. sponsored events outside the studio.

My acceptance of this agreement is proof of my intention to execute a complete and unconditional waiver and release of all liability pursuant to the terms herein, and agreement as to all terms and conditions contained above.

I am of lawful age and competent to agree to this affirmation.

I HAVE FULLY INFORMED MYSELF AS TO THE CONTENTS OF THIS RELEASE AND HAVE READ THE SAME PRIOR TO ACCEPTING THESE TERMS

Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19

Individuals who have travelled outside of Canada within the previous 14 days or who are sick or who have been in contact with someone who is suspected of having Covid-19 must not use the facilities or attend classes. This access may be withdrawn at any time based on health agency recommendations.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

I, would like my child/children to participate in classes at Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)’s attendance at Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd or participation in programs at Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd. I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Creative Edge School of Arts Ltd, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Creative Edge program.

My acceptance of this agreement is proof of my intention to execute a complete and unconditional waiver and release of all liability pursuant to the terms herein, and agreement as to all terms and conditions contained above.

I am of lawful age and competent to agree to this affirmation.
