Edmonton Junior Tennis Society's EMPOWER HER program aims to not only encourage girls in sports but also to unite a community of strong women and girls. This initiative fosters a positive future by creating a space where girls can learn tennis and develop leadership skills, guided by female mentors in the industry. The EMPOWER HER program is vital as it prioritizes building a community where girls are encouraged to excel in sports and life.

We will hold a Girls Leading Girls workshop where the participants will discover POWER skills and how to integrate them into their daily lives. Led by experienced women, the session aims to empower girls by equipping them with practical tools. These mentors will also share their personal experiences as women involved in sports. There will also be fun activities accompanied by a fantastic lunch! Our on-the-court session will be led by nationally accomplished female coaches. They will take the girls through tennis lessons, fitness training, and games in a collaborative environment that emphasizes cooperation and teamwork.
