Important information

Engineering for Kids North Houston offers a comprehensive suite of robotics teams, clubs, and programs designed to inspire and educate young minds in the field of robotics. These programs provide hands-on learning experiences where students can build, program, and control their own robots, learning crucial STEM skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Withdrawal Policy

At Engineering for Kids North Houston, we understand that plans can change. We require 30 day notice for withdrawal from clubs and year-long classes. If you need to withdraw your child from a class, we offer two options to accommodate your needs:

  1. Credit: You may opt to receive a full credit for the amount paid, which can be applied toward any future class. This credit will be available in your account and can be used at any time for upcoming sessions.

  2. Refund: If you prefer a refund, we will return the unused portion of your payment, subject to a $25 administrative fee to cover processing costs.

Makeup Policy

We believe in the importance of full participation in our programs. Should your child miss a class, they are welcome to attend a makeup session in any other engineering class that is appropriate for their age group and has availability for drop-ins. Please note that makeups cannot be completed in a robotics or coding class. Makeups must be arranged within one month from the date of the missed class.

To schedule a makeup class, please contact our office to verify available classes and secure a spot.

Payment Policy

All payments for classes must be made in full before the start of the class. For those on a payment plan, payments should be scheduled to cover the portion of the class that has already been completed. This ensures uninterrupted participation for your child and efficient management of class resources.

Sick Policy

To ensure the health and safety of all students and staff, we ask that parents keep their children at home if they are showing any signs of illness, such as fever, cough, sore throat, or general malaise. If a child becomes ill while at class, parents will be contacted immediately for prompt pickup. Students should be fever-free and symptom-free for 24 hours without the use of medication before returning to class. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy environment for everyone.

Behavior Policy

At Engineering For Kids North Houston, we are committed to providing a safe and positive learning environment for all our participants. To ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and productive experience, all participants are expected to treat their peers, instructors, and the facility with respect, adhering to safety rules and guidelines at all times. Any behavior that jeopardizes the safety of others will not be tolerated. We encourage active and positive participation in all activities, and disruptive behavior, including bullying, inappropriate language, or refusal to participate, will be addressed promptly. Our behavior management process involves a three-step approach: first, a verbal warning and discussion with the instructor; second, parental notification and a written warning; and finally, removal from the program if the behavior persists, with no refunds issued in such cases. We appreciate your cooperation and support in maintaining a positive and safe environment for everyone.
