Description:

*Write A Rhyme About A Time" - For Educators

Discover how the art of rap can deepen student engagement, spark creativity, and support culturally responsive teaching practices. In this hands-on workshop led by educator and hip-hop artist Jon Corbin, teachers will explore the craft of rap writing—focusing on rhythm, flow, and wordplay—as tools for storytelling and connection in the classroom.

Begin with short video lessons on rap fundamentals, then join a live, interactive session where you'll write and share your own verse. Along the way, gain insight into how these elements can empower student voice, foster literacy skills, and create inclusive, affirming learning spaces.

Leave with practical strategies, personalized feedback, and your own original rap—ready to inspire your students and elevate your practice.

Check out Jon Corbin's Bio for more about the artist.
