Indulge yourself in a comfortable camping trip without all the heavy lifting. This off-grid campground on Hwy 60 in Whitney at the edge of Algonquin Park features fully erected and weather-tight tents ideal for self-reliant travelers or those seeking an authentic but more comfortable camping experience.

This is a traditional 2-person Alpine style pole tent previously used by the government of Canada on our tallest peak - Mount Logan in the Yukon. With just enough room inside for sleeping and a game of cards, it has a sewn in floor, as well as an inner and outer layer to keep everything inside dry and warm. We've added two 8" foam mattresses equivalent to a queen size bed inside for your sleeping comfort. Small, but mighty - it gets the job done at a great price point with just a hint more comfort than typical camping. 

This pole tent is on a private site, situated on a hill.  Amenities include:

• muskoka chairs
• picnic table
• propane barbecue (we supply the propane)
• fire pit with one bag of firewood delivered to your site each night

Guests can borrow items (pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, pots, pans etc.) from our Quartermaster Shack for a small fee. Regular housekeeping maintains the tent in tip-top shape, but we ask that guests remember the tiny footprint rule: please leave the space the way you found it as a courtesy to those who come after you.
