Supervision of Minors: Generally, children ages 9 and under must be actively supervised by someone age 14+ at recreation facilities. Specific rules apply in Pools, Child Care, Fitness Areas, etc. (see relevant sections).
Dogs/Animals: Dogs must be leashed in parks (unless posted otherwise). Only service animals are allowed inside facilities.
Prohibited Items/Activities: Smoking, vaping, alcohol, illegal drugs, and personal fireworks are prohibited in all parks and facilities.
Food & Drink: Restrictions apply in many areas. Generally, only water in non-breakable containers is allowed in activity zones like gyms, poolsides, and fitness areas. Check specific facility rules.
Entry & Fees: Patrons must check in at the front desk of recreation facilities. Fees apply for facility use unless spectating a registered program.
Attire: Appropriate attire covering the chest, rear, and groin is required. Specific footwear (e.g., closed-toe shoes in fitness areas, no street shoes in pools) is often necessary.
Valuables: Secure your personal belongings. Salt Lake County is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Lockers are typically for day-use only.
Hours: Park and facility hours vary by location. Most parks are open dawn to dusk (approximately 7am – 10 pm). To confirm hours, refer to signs at park(s). Weather and maintenance may result in temporary park closures.
Vending: Pavilions and parks may not be used for commercial purposes or fundraising.
