With Special Guest: Nanaimo Astronomy Society!
In this session, grades K-3 students will experience an exciting evening of astronomy. This special evening event will bring the wonders of the night sky to life as students learn about stars, constellations, and the Moon. They’ll discover how the sky changes as the Earth rotates and how different stars appear in different seasons. Through a variety of fun activities , students will connect what they see in the sky with the patterns in nature. They’ll also hear stories about the stars, including those passed down through Indigenous cultures. This hands-on experience will help students see how celestial bodies influence the life on Earth.
