This program for grades K-3, introduces young learners to the flowers of Nanaimo, focusing on the Lotus pinnatus, a local species that thrives in spring. Students will explore the flower's life cycle, from seed to bloom, learning key science concepts like photosynthesis, pollination, and plant growth. By connecting the Lotus pinnatus' blooming to the arrival of spring, children will discover how seasonal changes impact plant life. Through nature walks and hands-on activities, they'll develop a deeper appreciation for local ecosystems and the science behind the beauty of spring
