With Special Guest: Nanaimo Astronomy Society!
In this session, grades 4-7 students will experience an exciting astronomy evening designed to deepen their understanding of the cosmos. As part of the evening’s activities, students will explore the stars, constellations, and the night sky’s changes throughout the year. They’ll learn about celestial navigation and how ancient cultures used the stars for guidance. Through hands-on activities like identifying star patterns, and observing the Moon’s phases, students will connect the science of astronomy with cultural stories and traditions.
