Description:
This session for grades 4-7 offers students an in-depth look at the dynamic world of intertidal zones. Through the Intertidal Zone Exploration, students will identify and analyze various organisms like fishes, anemones, and algae, learning how they adapt to the changing tides. The Intertidal Zone Game introduces ecological concepts like resource competition and predator-prey relationships. In the Intertidal Adaptation activity, students will investigate specific survival strategies, such as the ability to cling to rocks or adjust to different water temperatures. The program emphasizes the science of tidal zones, adaptation, and the delicate balance of life in this unique environment.
