Description:
In this session for grades 4-7 students will explore the study of fish, focusing on anatomy, behavior, and evolution. Activities include learning about the Salmon Life Cycle, simulating shark tagging, and investigating the survival strategies of different fish. Students will engage in a Fishing Bycatch Challenge to understand environmental impact and explore the intricacies of marine life. The science behind this program includes understanding evolutionary adaptations, natural selection, and how fish interact with their ecosystems. By the end, students will have a deeper understanding of the ocean’s dynamic systems and the role fish play.
