Description:

Yoga Nidra, “yogic sleep” is the practice of sleep with a trace of awareness. This deeply restorative healing practice is open to all bodies and stages of life. Class will begin with gentle movement and breath awareness designed to bring the nervous system towards a state of ease. Thoughtful steps will then be taken towards building your rest nest - seated or lying down - where you will feel held and supported for meditation. Finally you’ll be guided through a systematic deep relaxation practice. Yoga Nidra leads us into a deep state of consciousness, in which we rest in spacious awareness and presence. It has has been found to ease anxiety, stress, insomnia, chronic pain and the effects of living amidst the demands of this modern world.

Notes: What to bring: Dress in layers to ensure warmth while resting. You’re encouraged to bring cozy items such as extra pillows, your favorite blankets, beloved stuffie - think comfort. Please bring a journal if you keep one - paper will be provided otherwise.
