Acting and Improv: Imaginations wanted!

Learn acting skills with and without a script!  This on-your-feet class will have students working with their peers to perform short scenes and gain confidence with improv. Through various acting exercises, scene studies and fun improv games, students learn the tools to think on their feet, listen and respond with wit, and be creative in the moment.

A performance for families and friends will take place on the final class of the session.

Playwright Kate McGrath has over 30 years of working with youth theatre education, playwriting, directing and performance.

Required age: 6 - 12 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: Our After-School program is listed from 4-5:30pm, allowing all students to arrive on foot, by bus or drop off to make it in advance of instruction time between 4:30-5:30pm. Drop off students may arrive anytime after 4pm. WSSD can Bus to Us! Our staff receives the WSSD buses according to the transportation schedule from WES & NPE. Escorted walking bus is available from SRS. Please choose busing option at check out.
