Description:
Let's use a bit of humor to tell a great story on stage and in print! Geared for students in Grades 3-6 with age-appropriate activities, prompts and games. Students will put their writing skills to work in this comedy-driven class. Learn storytelling and playwriting techniques to create monologues and sketches. A performance for an invited audience will take place on the last class of the session. Playwright Kate McGrath has over 30 years of working with youth theatre education, playwriting and performance. She loves a good laugh!

Required age: 6 - 12 years old on the day of the activity
Notes: Our After-School program is listed from 4-5:30pm, allowing all students to arrive on foot, by bus or drop off to make it in advance of instruction time between 4:30-5:30pm. Drop off students may arrive anytime after 4pm. WSSD can Bus to Us! Our staff receives the WSSD buses according to the transportation schedule from WES & NPE. Escorted walking bus is available from SRS. Please choose busing option at check out.
