Description:
🎨 What You’ll Learn This Sewing & Alterations class is a beginner‑friendly monthly class for adults 18+ who want to feel comfortable and confident using a sewing machine while learning essential skills for simple alterations, repairs, and garment adjustments. It’s perfect if you’ve never sewn before, if it’s been a long time and you want a refresher, or if you want to build the foundational skills needed for everyday clothing fixes. You’ll learn how your sewing machine works, practice key techniques, and build the skills required for common alterations. This class emphasizes understanding, technique, and confidence—not completing a full garment from scratch. This class meets on the second Wednesday of each month, and you can attend once or return anytime to continue building your skills at your own pace. In this class you’ll learn how to: • Properly thread a sewing machine and wind a bobbin We will work on practice samples and alteration exercises rather than full projects.
