Join us for a vibrant artistic journey around the world in a brand-new version of Erin Gillespie’s popular class! Over eight weeks, we will "travel" to a new global destination every two weeks, diving into the unique visual language, local art movements, and cultural essence of each region to inspire our own artwork.

This Term’s Destinations:

• Seattle, Washington – Capturing the moody, atmospheric Pacific Northwest.

• Melbourne, Australia – Exploring dynamic street art and modern urban culture.

• Austin, Texas – Channeling the vibrant, eclectic energy of the Lone Star State.

• Porto, Portugal – Translating the historic charm, coastal light, and intricate architecture.

What You'll Learn & Experience:

Students will work from a variety of curated reference pictures to create their own unique paintings or drawings. Erin will guide you through techniques tailored to each location’s aesthetic, offering live demonstrations, personalized feedback, and supportive group discussions. Together, we'll learn how to capture mood, atmosphere, and local character through composition, color, and brushwork.
