🎨 What You’ll Learn

This Intro to Sewing Machine class is a beginner friendly monthly class for adults 18+ who want to build confidence using their own sewing machine. This option is ideal if you have a machine at home and want hands on guidance learning how to use it properly.

⚠️ Important: This ticket option does not include a sewing machine. The lower priced ticket you selected requires that you bring your own sewing machine from home. Please be sure your machine is in working order and that you bring its power cord foot pedal and basic accessories.

This class meets on the second Wednesday of each month. You are welcome to attend once or come back again to continue practicing and building confidence.

In this class you’ll learn how to:

• Properly thread your own sewing machine and wind a bobbin
• Understand your machine’s basic settings stitch options and controls
• Sew straight seams and simple curves
• Practice starting stopping and controlling speed
• Learn basic sewing terminology and common troubleshooting tips

We will practice on scrap fabric and skill samples rather than complete garments. You are welcome to bring a small personal project if you’d like but it is not required.
