Small class sizes = big creative growth.
With lots of individual attention in a supportive, encouraging environment, this class is all about helping young artists build confidence, creativity, and the technical skills to make art on their own — both in and out of the studio.

🖌️ Class Breakdown

🎨 Guided Independent Art (20 minutes)
Students kick off each class by working on their own art pieces using a variety of materials — painting, drawing, sewing, papercraft, sculpture — in a relaxed, collaborative setting. This time helps them build independence and explore their personal style.

📚 Core Art Lesson + Project (1 hour)
Each week includes a short lesson on art history, technique, or a new medium, followed by a hands-on project. This spring, we’re diving into:

• Pottery: Wheel throwing, trimming, handbuilding & glazing (3 classes)
• Painting: Acrylic & watercolor techniques (2 classes)
• Fiber Arts: Yarn work & sewing (2 classes)
• Drawing: Still life & figure drawing (2 classes)
• Independent Projects: Students choose their own medium & subject (1 class)

🧼 Clean-Up + Art Game (10 minutes)
We wrap up with a quick clean-up and a fun, art-themed game to end on a high note.

Required age: 8 - 14 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: We have water fountains available on site and free parking in the lot behind the studio. We recommend wearing something you do not mind getting a little messy, though aprons are available for all students.
