Description:

Acro is a highly disciplined art form that combines power, mobility, and coordination. It is an artistic and physical practice of dance and gymnastics focusing on limbering and tumbling as well as flexibility, inversions, and partnering. TRAC faculty follow a specific set of progressive skills to ensure safety, creating confident and capable movers who captivate audiences with their athletic feats. 

Jazz evolves with the times to keep current with popular culture. Throughout its history, jazz vocabulary and style varied between regions of America and beyond. TRAC curriculum currently balances technical skill, musicality, isolations and syncopations, grounded movement, and varying qualities or efforts used to create dynamic performance. 

By combining these disciplines, students acquire the skills and time needed to develop their acrobatics while also mastering dance elements and transitions between their tricks, resulting in show-stopping routines at the Recital.

Notes: Class Uniform (included in tuition): Option 1 - Royal Leotard, Black Shorts. Option 2 - TRAC T-shirt, Black Shorts. Uniforms, for those who register in advance, will be ready for pick up in late August. Shoes, which can be purchased at TRAC or sourced elsewhere: Canvas or Leather Black Jazz Booties. All hair should be taken care of neatly and out of the student's face. Ponytail, Bun, or Braids are required for those with medium to long hair.
