Please join Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District and the Rancho Simi Trail Blazers on this series of mild hikes, lead by an experienced hike leader.

All hikes begin at 9:00 am at the following locations:

Mt. McCoy – April 11, 2026

6 MRT – Easy to Moderate (800′ elevation gain/loss)     DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD:  Meet in the parking lot of Donut Delite, 1464 Madera Rd., Simi Valley, located on the north east side of the intersection of Royal Avenue and Madera Road.  Park on the East side of the medical building.

Oak Canyon Community Park Trail – April 25, 2026

DIRECTIONS TO THE TRAILHEAD: The park is in the community of Oak Park (on the southern side of the Simi Hills).  Take the 23 freeway South and exit Avenida De Los Arboles.  Turn left and continue 1.6 miles.  Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto N Westlake Blvd.  Continue 1.5 miles and make a left onto Kanan Rd.  Drive another 3.8 miles and make a left onto Hollytree Dr.  Park in the second parking lot on the west side of the road.

Las Llajas Trail – May 9, 2026

DIRECTIONS TO THE TRAILHEAD: Take Hwy 118 to Yosemite Drive and head north. Drive 1.2 miles to the intersection with Evening Sky Drive and turn right. Drive 0.5 mile east on Evening Sky Drive and park on either side of the street at the Las Llajas Canyon trailhead. There’s a kiosk at the trailhead.

Chumash Trail – May 23, 2026

DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD: Take the 118 Freeway to Yosemite exit. Go north on Yosemite and turn right on Flanagan Dr. The trailhead is at the end of Flanagan Drive on the right.

Creekside and East Long Canyon – June 6, 2026

DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD: Take. Turn left (south) onto Wood Ranch Parkway and drive 1.9 miles to its junction with Long Canyon Road. Turn right (west) on Long Canyon Road and drive 100 feet to the driveway leading into the trailhead parking lot. Turn left into the Long Canyon Trail trailhead parking lot.
