Get ready to immerse yourself in the captivating world of bees as we invite you to “Met the Beekeeper,” a unique and educational presentation that promises to be a hive of activity!  This event will be an engaging and enlightening experience for all ages, featuring crafts, hands-on items, and so much more.

“Meet the Beekeeper” is an unmissable event that offers a window into the intriguing world of beekeeping.  This presentation will feature a range of activities and opportunities for attendees to discover the vital role bees play in our ecosystem, and even try their hand at some beekeeping techniques.

Activities at the event will include:

  1. Beekeeping Demonstrations:  Get up close and personal with our resident beekeeper as they guide you through the fascinating world of beekeeping.  Learn about hive maintenance, honey extraction, and the importance of bees in pollination.
  2. Observation Hive:  Look into a specially designed, safe, and transparent observation hive to witness bees at work.  Marvel at their complex social structure and see bees in action without the need for protective gear.  DISCLAIMER:  Observation hive not guaranteed, as it is up to the bees if they wish to attend this event.
  3. DIY Beeswax Crafts:  Unleash your creative side with our hands-on crafts station.
  4. Bee-Friendly Gardening:  Discover the importance of creating a bee-friendly environment in your own backyard.  Learn about the best plants to support bees and other pollinators and how you can make a difference.
  5. Beekeeper Q&A:  Have burning questions about bees and beekeeping?  Our expert beekeeper will be on hand to answer all your queries.

This family-friendly event will not only be an excellent learning experience but also a chance to connect with fellow nature enthusiasts and local beekeepers.  Whether you’re a seasoned beekeeping enthusiast or just curious about these incredible insects, “Meet the Beekeeper” has something for everyone.
