📚 Welcome to the Howard Park Literary Lounge Fall 2025 Book Club Series Featured Book: The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett Join us for a warm and enriching season of thoughtful conversation, shared stories, and literary exploration! The Howard Park Literary Lounge invites readers of all backgrounds to come together every Sunday from 3-5 PM, beginning October 5 through November 23, for a weekly deep dive into the critically acclaimed novel The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett. For just $45 per person, participants will receive: A personal copy of the book, a themed bookmark, and weekly refreshments during each session. Each week, we'll discuss the assigned chapters, share reflections, and read aloud an excerpt from the selected section — bringing the characters and themes to life in real time. đź“– About the Book The Vanishing Half tells the powerful story of twin sisters who choose vastly different paths—one living as a Black woman in their Southern hometown, the other passing as white and keeping her identity a secret.
