Description:
Location: In person at SPARC Grades: 8th-12th All levels of experience are welcome! The final performances for this program will take place on March 12 (7:30pm) and March 13 (2pm). Spectrum is a theatre arts education program for LGBTQ+ youth and their allies. Through a series of rehearsals and workshops, youth will learn the basics of storytelling, performance, production, and playwriting. Facilitators will work in community with the youth to bridge the gap between the queer experience and allyship while they create an original play or musical. Using the performing arts and centering authentic voices and experiences, Spectrum promotes social justice and advocates for systemic change in our communities.
