To apply for Storming Robots:

There are three options:

1. Take the Storming Robots assessment test.
   • subject to $25 Assessment fee.
   • Upon passing the test and registering for classes, this fee will be applied towards the tuition.
2. Submit standardized test results (see below for list of accepted tests).
3. Ask two teachers' recommendation. (Prefer STEM fields)

OPT1) Storming Robots Assessment Test:

This is a 45-minute online assessment for Gr. 5 to 12. Test content comprises various levels of spatial reasoning, patterns recognition, logical reasoning, and free-response on work habits.

Requirement:

• Must have stable access to online meeting through Zoom.
• Must have  your camera and mic turned on at all times during the entire duration of the assessment. 
• Should not engage in conversation with others.
• We recommend you make sure your device is up to date and meets all system requirements before class.

What is covered in the test?

• 10 to 15 Spatial Reasoning and Pattern Recognition
• 10 Logical Reasoning
• 4 Free Responses

Grades: Pass/Fail.  Please allow 2 business days for assessment results to be released.

Venue: This is an online session.  A zoom link will be emailed to you the day before your scheduled assessment. 

Withdrawal and Cancellation Policy: 

• all requests for rescheduling or cancellation of a scheduled session must be submitted via email at least one day in advance.
• If notice is not received with at least one day’s notice, the session will be considered forfeited, and the applicant will be required to re-register, including payment of the $25 registration fee.

OPT2)  Submit standardized test results.

• To upload test scores for application and complete the free registration process, you will be asked to upload a file of the test scores.
• We accept test scores approved by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth - Math and Science -90th Percentile.
• We will contact you once your scores are approved to begin class registration

OPT3) Two Teachers' Recommendation. 

Prefer STEM teachers/mentors/tutors, etc.
