Description:
Pre-school levels 3, 4, and 5 consist of supportive lessons where students continue to develop their confidence in the water, as well as progress their movement in the water. They learn to jump into chest deep water, jump into deep water (return and exit), a sideways entry. They also learn forward roll entries while wearing a PFD. They are taught to open their eyes and recover items from waist deep water. They learn to tread water for 10 seconds with and without a PFD. They also continue to improve on their basic life saving skills such as: floating and rolling from front to back for longer periods of time; gliding on their front and back for 3 meters; flutter kicking on their front, back, and side for 5 to 7 meters; and to front and back crawl with and without a PFD. They are also taught specific swim to survive sequences using the skills they learn in each level.
