This Beginner course is for students who have studied Beginner 1 with Reetta, or who have acquired foundational knowledge of Finnish elsewhere. The class continues to buid foundational skills in pronunciation, grammar, and everyday communication.

The curriculum also integrates cultural insights, providing learners with an understanding of Finnish society and traditions. By the end of the course, students can continue to Finnish Beginner 1B.

Prerequisites: Beginner 1 with Reetta or equivalent knowledge. By the end of the Beginner year (4 courses à 8 lessons), students will have developed basic proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Swedish. The course aligns with the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), ensuring a standardized approach to language learning.
