Welcome to Norwegian classes! 

This Beginner course is the first when you start learning Norwegian. It is for students with little or no prior knowledge of Norwegian. It emphasizes foundational skills in pronunciation, grammar, and everyday communication, enabling the students to engage in simple daily interactions such as greetings and introductions.

The curriculum also integrates cultural insights, providing learners with an understanding of Norwegian society and traditions. By the end of the course, students can continue to Norwegian Beginner 1B.

Overall focus: Basic interaction, sentence formation, pronunciation fundamentals

Prerequisites: No previous knowledge required. By the end of the Beginner year (4 courses à 8 lessons), students will have developed basic proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Swedish. The course aligns with the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), ensuring a standardized approach to language learning.
