Donations
Your financial support will go towards building a single and modern Sports and Recreation Centre where you will get to engage in meaningful, accessible sport and recreation activities that foster your wellbeing and that of our community.
This $39.2 million modern Sports and Recreation Centre will house the Town’s robust recreational programming while achieving environmental goals and fully satisfying the community’s needs for a multi-functional, multigenerational facility.
The new Sports and Recreation Centre is set to open in 2025 and will be located at 220 Bedbrook Avenue, the site of the former Montreal West pool and Legion Memorial Rink.
Fundraising Campaign
This project is made possible, in large part, by the $16 million granted to the Town by the Programme d’aide financière aux infrastructures récréatives et sportives (PAFIRS – EBI), with a portion being funded by donations.
As of March 2024, the fundraising campaign has successfully reached $2.2 million in commitments, $1.1 million of which has already been collected. Andy Michelin is the current campaign chair, and is preceded by Scott MacKenzie who was campaign chair from May 2021 – March 2024.
