at Water Street Studios

Dates: Sundays, June 14 – August 2, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Overview:
Community Drawing Day is a quiet, open studio-style gathering designed for artists who want dedicated time to draw or paint from observation in a shared, low-pressure environment. Each session will feature a simple still life setup for participants to work from, which will be arranged prior to the session.

This is not an instructor-led class, though an instructor will be present during each session to help facilitate the space.

What to Expect:

  • Calm, focused studio environment for independent creative work
  • Still life setup provided each week
  • Instructor present for support and space facilitation
  • Opportunity for community connection among artists of varying experience levels

Materials:
Participants should bring their own drawing or painting supplies. Water Street Studios easels may be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost:
Donate-what-you-can model
Recommended donation: $10 per session
(No one turned away for lack of funds)

Attendance:
RSVPs are encouraged to help with setup, but walk-ins are welcome as space allows.

Goal:
To provide a consistent, accessible space for artists to maintain a regular creative practice, build community, and work from observation in a supportive studio setting.

Notes:
This is envisioned as a low-commitment, community-based offering that makes meaningful use of studio space while supporting artists at all skill levels.
