Description:

Students will learn techniques for drawing using colored pencil, to achieve beautiful painterly effects. Students will leave class with new colored pencil drawing skills and finished works of art.  Students will need to provide their own set of 24 color Prismacolor Premier Pencils and other supplies. These are available at local art supply stores and online Amazon or Blick. 

• How to use different drawing strokes to achieve results.
• How to effectively layer colors for painterly techniques
• How to use Color Theory to increase the drama of your artwork.

Students will learn about additional tools that will help achieve the desired effects to their drawing. Students will start with a tutorial lesson, then students will work on their own drawings with the guidance of the instructor. Students should bring references and ideas for drawings they would like to create.  

*If a repeat session is offered, it could be ongoing for students to continue their projects and refine their drawing skills.
