Description:

This two-week ceramics kids camp will meet Monday-Fridays from 9 am-12 pm and includes clay and glazes. Camps will create an assortment of cups, bowls, plates, mugs, vases, bird houses, birdbaths, cookie jars, etc. during the first week of camp. The second week we will throw on the wheel, make pendants, and magnets while glazing our projects from the first week. On the Friday of the second week, we will have a showcase of our work where families can come at 11am to see all the work the students constructed while they talk about their work and the processes used.

Participants will learn how to glaze their pieces by dunking and brushing. Hand building with slabs and coils and wheel throwing! Please provide yourself with a closeable water bottle, snack, and small hand towel.  This course can be repeated as needed.

Note: Designed for ages 7-12, siblings encouraged. Clay, glazes, and Kiln firings included.
