Toonies 2024- In Person - Toonie Ride - May 30, 2024 Sponsored by Arbutus Routes and RMU (On Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM) WORCA hosts Thursday night Toonie Rides with different local businesses and organizations sponsoring each ride. Course Marshal: Arbutus Routes A WORCA membership and online waiver is required to participate in any WORCA organized/sanctioned event, including, but not limited to: Toonie Rides, Phat Wednesdays, Youth Camps, and special events. The ‘Ride’ part of the name is more about our mandate, which is to foster the use of bicycles in the community. There are a core group of ‘racers’ in our series however the majority of riders are just out to have fun, explore the trails, get a bit of exercise, and socialize with other members. You need to be a WORCA member to participate for insurance reasons, but every cent that doesn’t go to the insurance companies is channeled back into protecting and maintaining Whistler’s exceptional network of bike trails. The races are open to everyone, young and old, and of all abilities. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must wear a helmet and ensure that their bikes are in good working order. Bring water, tube repair kits, and tools because you never know… Please, NO POWER ASSISTED BIKES at WORCA events for insurance purposes. Course: on Blackcomb. (Golden Boner - Roam in the Loam - Rabbit Tracks).
Prizing: Arbutus Routes - 7mesh, Mons Royale and Smith
Apres: RMU.
This ride is capped to first 110 to register.
Bag drop off at Arbutus Routes. Once you have completed the route, please pop into the shop to collect your apres tickets. You will need to show proof of registration.
