Instrument Rental Agreement - SA2, LS, JO, YS

We’re so glad you’re interested in Instrument Rentals with ESYO!

Eligibility:

Students must be enrolled and active in a current ESYO program to be eligible for participation in the ESYO Instrument Rental.

Rentals must be returned at the end of the Program. The return deadlines are:

  • 2025 - 26 Program: Return by June 14, 2026
  • Summer Camp: Return by September 15, 2026

Cost:

Instrument rentals are $15.00/month, with charges beginning once the rental is issued.
(Note: Any scholarship awards are applied prior to charges.)

Get Started With 3 Easy Steps:

  1. Complete registration, and check the box to indicate you want to rent an instrument from ESYO.

  2. Add the Instrument Rental Agreement to your cart, and check out. This is just the agreement portion, and it will show as “no charge.”

  3. Make sure you have a payment option saved on your account with ESYO authorized.

Charges will begin once the instrument has been distributed.

Instrument Request Process

  1. Parents request a rental instrument (or to continue use of a rental instrument) through this Agreement.

  2. The instrument coodinator will check availability of instruments in ESYO's inventory and make an instrument assignment, then notify the parent via email that the instrument is ready for pickup.

  3. Parents should make arrangements to pick up the instrument at the ESYO office. Current office hours are Mon/Tues (9:30 AM - 3:30 PM) and Thurs/Fri (9:30 AM - 2:30 PM).
(If you need to make different pickup arrangements, please reply to the Instrument Coordinator's notification email to do so.)

We are typically able to fill rental requests. If we are unable to fill your request for any reason, the Agreement will be cancelled, and you will not be charged. (For example, this may occur when ESYO inventory does not support the number of requests for a particular instrument.) Should you have questions or concerns about instrument assignments, please contact the Instrument Coordinator to discuss.

  4. Charges will begin the day the instrument is picked up/received.

  5. Remember that instruments must be returned at the end of the season!

What to Expect:

Students will begin classes, and go through the instrument selection process. Once instruments have been issued, charges will begin. (Those may start on the same day, or up to 7 days after the day rentals are issued to students.) You will receive a confirmation email to let you know charges have begun. Once charges begin, you’ll be automatically charged on the same day every month.

Remember that instruments must be returned at the end of the season!

Instrument Selection Process

  1. During the first several sessions, our teachers lead an "instrument petting zoo," allowing students to get a true hands-on feel for each instrument. Sometimes, a student's preference can change once they get to interact with the instruments!

  2. Following this exploration, our instructors will make instrument recommendations, taking student preference, natural aptitude, and general body proportions into account.

  3. Once the recommendations are made, instructors connect with the instrument coordinator to check availability of instruments in ESYO's inventory, and instrument assignments are made.

  4. Typically students are assigned the instrument that was their first-choice, however there may be occasions when the second-choice instrument is assigned. (For example, this may occur when ESYO inventory does not support the number of requests for a particular instrument, or the instructor, after evaluation and discussion with the student, feels the second choice is a better fit.) Should you have questions or concerns about instrument assignments, please contact your student’s instructor to discuss.
