Learn the ancient art of wet felting, along with needle felting from award winning, multi media artist, Kim Keelor, whose Carolina Artworks studio is in Franklin, North Carolina. During this two and a half hour workshop you learn about both processes by making two felted pendants, one using wet felting which is mankind’s oldest textile process, and one using needle felting. The magnetic closure necklace wires are included with the wool, silk, felting needles and other materials you’ll need to design gorgeous pieces of wearable art. All materials included.

Presenter: Kim Keelor is a multimedia artist creating dynamic, wool-based artworks through an ancient fiber art technique. They are durable and will last for lifetimes, much like tapestries. Her intention is to compel the mind and enliven the spirit while supporting planet health and constructive mindsets. Additionally, Keelor paints in watercolor and oil.

Notes : Cancellation Policy Please let us know immediately if you are unable to attend a class. There is no refund for cancellations within two (2) weeks prior to a scheduled class. Programs that include food, beverage or art materials must be canceled within three (3) weeks prior to receive a refund. CLE reserves the right to cancel a program if the minimum enrollment has not been met or for circumstances beyond our control, and participants will be notified, a complete refund will be issued. All classes are held in the CLE Lecture Hall at the Peggy Crosby Center unless otherwise noted. Addresses for “private home” venues will be provided to registrants within 2 days of the program date.
