Description :

Polling has shown a precipitous drop in approval of mainstream news sources, along with polarization of trust along ideological and partisan lines. It’s been a decades-long trend, along with eroding trust in other institutions. Can the trend be stalled and reversed? This talk examines what journalists must do to foster transparency and trust, and also what Americans need to do to be more discerning and responsible consumers of information.
