Join us for a bright, feel-good project in our 3D Stained Glass Cactus Class 🌵✨

Perfect for plant lovers, glass art fans, or anyone craving a pop of color, this class lets you create a vibrant 3D stained glass cactus that looks great year-round—no watering, no guilt, just sparkle.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of stained glass while building a medium-sized, dimensional succulent from colorful glass pieces that come together into a sculptural form. This project is approachable for first-timers and just as fun for anyone looking to try something a little different in glass.

You’ll start by choosing from our premade patterns and learn each step of the stained glass process, from cutting and shaping glass to foiling and soldering. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the entire process with demonstrations, tips, and plenty of encouragement.

By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a beautiful, handcrafted glass succulent ready to pot—and a solid foundation in stained glass skills to inspire future projects. 🌈

Day 1: In the first class, you will learn about glass types, how to score and break glass for complex pattern designs, grinding the finish shape, and applying copper foil.

Homework: Most students do not finish grinding and foiling their pieces during the inital class. For those that need it, you will be able to book tme in our Glass Studio Thursday - Sunday in between classes to finish.

Day 2: During the second class, you will solder, make and add attach a stake for support, add patina (if desired), wax and your sun-catcher plant friend will be ready to pot.

Notes : *Due to the use of lead during soldering, we do not recommend students that are pregnant or breastfeeding take our stained glass classes. Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Layers are encouraged as the shop can be very cold or very hot. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed.
