Want to learn how to make a laminated cutting board?  Keep the first one for yourself and use the skills you learn to make more for friends and family.

Creating dimensionally accurate lumber is the foundation of all fine woodworking projects.  In the 2-day series, students will be taught the safe operation and proper applications of a few major woodworking tools.  The workshop will cover table saw, chop saw, overhead belt sander, and glue-up techniques.  We will be building cutting boards to directly apply learned techniques.  Tablesaw certification included.

This is a 2 session class.  The first class you will cut, assemble and glue up your wood pieces. The second class you will shape and finish your board.

Refunds, Credits & Transfers

We understand that emergencies happen, so if you are unable to attend your class and you cancel with:

• More than 14 (fourteen) days notice before your class, you may request a full refund or transfer the full amount paid to another class.

• Less than 14 (fourteen) days notice before your class, your payment is non refundable. However you may transfer the amount paid, minus a 15% cancellation fee, to any class within 90 days of request. It is not guaranteed that a comparable class will be offered within 90 days.

• Less than 48 (forty eight) hours before your class begins, your payment is non refundable. It is extremely difficult to fill cancelled spaces with short notice.

• After class start date/time: No credits, refunds or prorating of fees will be given for missed portions or early withdrawals.

Changes or Cancellations

DIYcave reserves the right to cancel any class, limit class size, change class times or substitute instructors for those listed in the schedule. If a class is canceled, students may choose to receive a full refund or may transfer – with no fee – to another class or workshop. If DIYcave cancels for any reason, all payments can be refunded.

Notes : Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Layers are encouraged as the shop can be very cold or very hot. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed. Winter Weather Advisory: Please be advised that classes will continue as scheduled during winter weather conditions unless extraordinary circumstances arise. In such cases, we will contact you directly to provide alternative class options. As class cancellations due to winter weather are rare, we encourage you to consider this when signing up.
