Ever wondered what you would do if you had a fully equipped woodworking shop at your disposal, and knew how to use the machinery and tools to create just about anything? This is the class you need to get started in the woodshop. DIYcave has developed 2 classes just for you! Sign up for Woodworking Basics and receive an overview of the most commonly used tools in the woodshop. Our professional instructors will demonstrate proper setup and technique on these machines to get you started right.

In this class you will learn how to use the Router, Planer and Jointer. Once complete you will be able to create more precise techniques for edges and dimensions to improve your furniture and fine woodworking projects

You will also get 1 free hour in the Wood Shop on the Saturday following class from 10am-11am to practice what you learned.

Refunds, Credits & Transfers

We understand that emergencies happen, so if you are unable to attend your class and you cancel with:

• More than 14 (fourteen) days notice before your class, you may request a full refund or transfer the full amount paid to another class.

• Less than 14 (fourteen) days notice before your class, your payment is non refundable. However you may transfer the amount paid, minus a 15% cancellation fee, to any class within 90 days of request. It is not guaranteed that a comparable class will be offered within 90 days.

• Less than 48 (forty eight) hours before your class begins, your payment is non refundable. It is extremely difficult to fill cancelled spaces with short notice.

• After class start date/time: No credits, refunds or prorating of fees will be given for missed portions or early withdrawals.

Changes or Cancellations

DIYcave reserves the right to cancel any class, limit class size, change class times or substitute instructors for those listed in the schedule. If a class is canceled, students may choose to receive a full refund or may transfer – with no fee – to another class or workshop. If DIYcave cancels for any reason, all payments can be refunded.

Âge requis : Plus de 16 ans au jour de l'activité

Notes : Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Layers are encouraged as the shop can be very cold or very hot. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed.

Prérequis : No Experience Needed! Ages 16+ welcome if accompanied by a parent/guardian. Both need to register and pay.
