Bring a sketchbook, pencil, eraser, a reference photo to work from or a drawing in progress and join us! If you’ve never drawn before I’ll supply still life photos for you to start with to learn the basics. We’ll focus on line drawing and tones (shading). Learn about rough sketches, making corrections, measuring, using a plumb line, perspective, creating depth, improving a composition, using colour. As you develop your skills move on to what interests you…florals, animals, landscapes, seascapes, buildings, figures, portraits… you can work at your own pace and this is a relaxed, supportive environment. I provide individual instruction, demonstrate techniques, use PowerPoint presentations to cover topics of interest. You can explore a range of media in this course: graphite pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, soft pastels, coloured pencils, water soluble coloured pencils (including brushwork).

Emilie’s classes, memberships for indoor playground, school walkovers, PA Day programs, pottery studio and fitness memberships and tickets are NON- REFUNDABLE. There will be no refunds for tickets to our events. There will be no refunds after the program mid-point.
