Description :
Step into a supportive and safe space to build confidence, awareness, and practical skills for personal safety. This one-hour class focuses on teaching women effective self-defense techniques that are easy to learn and applicable in real-life situations.
Through a blend of mental preparedness, situational awareness, and physical techniques, you’ll learn how to respond assertively and protect yourself in a variety of scenarios. Combining striking, blocking, and escape strategies, the class is designed to empower you with tools to stay safe and grounded, regardless of your experience level.
Our approach emphasizes strength, confidence, and control, helping you tap into your inner power while fostering a sense of community. Whether you're new to self-defense or looking to sharpen your skills, this class will leave you feeling empowered, aware, and ready to face the world with confidence.
What You’ll Learn:
Techniques for boundary-setting and de-escalation
Simple, effective moves to protect yourself and break free from holds
Strategies for maintaining situational awareness and staying calm under pressure
Physical empowerment through striking and blocking techniques
All levels of fitness and experience are welcome. Come as you are, and leave feeling stronger and more prepared!

Notes : If you are at all unwell, please do not attend GNAG activities. in the interest of protecting the health of the other participants and staff. Refunds, Credits and Transfers Notification required: Program/Class/Workshop requires at least 1 week's notice in advance of the start date and time. PA Day/camp requires at least 2 weeks' notice in advance of the start date and time. 1. Within notification period: Refund with 7% admin fee or credit on GNAG account with no fee. 2. Less than notification period: Refunds or credits on GNAG account will not be issued. 3. Change your mind? Notify us first! We can help. A transfer requires the same period of notification. Pro-rated refunds will be given with a medical certificate should a refund be approved. Emilie’s classes, memberships for indoor playground, school walkovers, PA Day programs, pottery studio and fitness memberships and tickets are NON- REFUNDABLE. There will be no refunds for tickets to our events. There will be no refunds after the program mid-point.
