Provides entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.

Notes : This is a blended learning course that requires completion of online modules before the first day of class. Participants will receive an email with the link to the online material approximately one week before the class.

Prérequis : -Be at least 15 years of age on the last day of the course. -Successfully complete the online portion of the class before the first scheduled class day. -Successfully complete the precourse skills session.
